During literacy time we have been learning about ANZAC day and what it means for New Zealand. Miss Fiona explained to us about what ANZAC means for her whanau. We are reading lots of different journal articles about ANZAC and we are making information posters to show the rest of our class.
To gather ideas we read our journals, discuss the text, and write down key information. We have summarised the information into our own words.
On Friday we planted poppy seeds in small pots that we decorated.
We have also been publishing our persuasive writing. We have had lots of different arguments to write about and we have been improving each day.
