Rm 5 on the move!

At the end of term 3 Room 5B moved from room 5 to the library to make room for the juniors. It was hard moving the heavy furniture. When we are late we can walk straight to class. We are getting organised for our learning in the library but some of us accidentally left our bags outside the old classroom (it's a bit confusing). We like the library because we used to have fun here with Mr H. It feels like we are juniors because we are in the juniors block. When it is silent reading time we can choose from all the books. We are starting to get used to coming to the library. We have to go up and down for literacy and inquiry - it's a looooong way. We miss room 5, but it is nice and warm in here.

What an awesome day!

Some of our girls went to a futsal tournament today. It sounded like they had a great day.  Meanwhile at school the students enjoyed their te reo, reading, waiata, and kowaiau.  It's great to see our students working together so well.

Communication is Key!

We have been doing a lot of collaborative work this year, and one thing we have learned is the importance of positive and effective communication. One of our special guests to our high tea, Kristan, shared with us why communication is vital in his work as a chef. See the video here!
